On Saturday, August 25 and September 1,  at the 59th Street Pier, hundreds of our supporters will gather together to surf for a cure to brain tumors.

When you become a supporter/sponsor of the Marie A. Becker Memorial Longboard Contest, you become part of something that is making a contribution to not only research, but awareness as well.

The surf-for-a-cure ad book encourages our participants and their families to spend their dollars with those businesses that support the fundraiser. Our ad book has become a fantastic way to become involved and lets hundreds of people and their families know that your business is more that just a bottom line.

To ensure maximum exposure, our ad book will also be made available at the much-anticipated Surfers Ball . We expect over 300 people at this year's reception.

This year's ad book will include illustrations, games, jokes, and surfing articles. Our participants are likely to keep this ad book as a reference and as souvenir for years of memories.

When someone is given the horrific diagnosis that he or she has a brain tumor, the first thoughts are not about funding research. The person does not have the luxury of worrying about the other 186,000 people and their families who will also be given that devastating blow that year. This is why people without the disease need to step up and help.
