The Steel Pier Longboard Classic went down May 21st and 22nd
with great waves, smiles, ladybugs and longboards as far as the eye could see.
Longboarders from up and down the east coast, California and Florida competed.
Highlights from the weekend included the Tandem Division which drew crowds and
photographers up and down the beach. Bud and Kate Easton stole the show with
their lifts taught by Steve and Barrie Bohene, three time world champion tandem
winners from Infinity Surfboards of California.
The men's pro was a delight for everyone to watch having Mike Detemple, Hunter
Lupton, Tony Silvagni and Noah Shimbukuro at our very own surf break. Winners
